Winemaker's comments:
Pale straw, highlighted by soft golden hues. A rich array of fresh pineapple, citrus and passionfruit aromas provide an intense and vibrant bouquet. A medium bodied palate displays exquisite fruit intensity and freshness. Soft creamy textures are balanced by fine lemon acidity which carry the fruit characters. This wine can be cellared with confidence for up to five years to obtain further complexity.
Background Information:
Moondah Brook is a contemporary range of varietal wines sourced from premium Western Australian vineyards.
As a true expression of each variety, Moondah Brook wines are fruit driven with spicy full-flavoured styles. Intensity and texture, together with premium WA fruit, make them perfect food wines.
Moondah Brook - Bring out the flavour.
What's the Difference?:
This is a fine example of how the variety prospers in Western Australia. Moondah Brook Chenin Blanc is a traditional drier style.
2002 was an outstanding vintage for Chenin Blanc with the cooler than average conditions enhancing natural fruit characters and balance.
